Sharina Bahrin

Sharina has over 20 years’ experience in corporate finance and business advisory in Malaysia and Australia. Prior to Sea2sea, she spent several years in Aftaas as Director of Aftaas Consulting Sdn Bhd, prior to that in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Corporate Finance and Recovery as Associate Director and before that she spent many years in PETRONAS as holding company accounts manager, finance manager of a joint-venture project and as a group corporate finance senior executive. She was also a member of the PETRONAS corporate strategy team focusing on globalisation. In Australia, Sharina provided business advisory services as well as preparing accounts and tax returns of entities in the various industries.

She has served more than 5 years as Director and Chairperson of Audit Committee of a Public Listed Company listed on Bursa Malaysia, which in 2008 joined the “Billion Ringgit Club” in terms of market capitalisation.

Sharina attended 60 credit hours of “Global Peace and Conflict Management” at Mahathir Global Peace School Universitas Muhammadiyyah Yogyakarta organised by Perdana Global Peace Foundation from 3rd to 15th June 2013.

Sharina is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia since 1991. She graduated with Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance from the University of Western Australia. She is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
