Jasmin began her career at the AmBank Group’s Islamic Banking Division in 2003 as Marketing Communications Executive in the Marketing and Communications Department. She was responsible in preparing communication outlines for marketing and public relations initiatives, conducting advertising & promotional as well as public affairs activities.
In 2006, she made a career move to Petrosains, The Discovery Centre, an interactive science center, wholly-owned by PETRONAS- Malaysia’s National oil & gas company. As a Public Relations executive, she became the liaison of the discovery center, coordinated wide range of communication projects, and oversaw the budget as well as enhancing reputation through effective PR, media & corporate sustainability activities. In 2008, she led a project from previously archaic working paper into a successful branding exercise in promoting interest and career in the energy sector at the National level.
She took up the Head of Special Projects in the Marketing Department in 2009 and was responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with multinational organizations, amongst others Disney, Mattel and Nestle. She also led the development of new business opportunities via innovative programmes and offerings that supported Petrosains’ overall growth strategy.
In parallel, based on her ability to complete successful projects, she was elected by Malaysia Gas Association (MGA) as the National Secretary of one of the Task Forces (TF) under the 25th World Gas Conference (WGC2012). Organized by International Gas Union (IGU – a gathering of members in 91 countries), together with the TF Chairman, she assisted in developing and coordinating WGC2012’s inaugural Youth Programme, TF2- ‘Nurturing the Future Generations’. She was responsible to ensure all activities were in line towards the development of a world-class programme and conference to nurture the young people towards the gas industry during WGC2012 in Kuala Lumpur, the first country in Asia to host the prestigious event.
Since 2013, while concentrating on her family, she has taken up writing, consulting and translating work on freelance basis mainly for financial and education industry. In 2018, she was involved in various projects as the Program Management Office (PMO) to provide support in the areas of syndication and as the liaison between clients and consultants team.
