Desmond Teo

Desmond is an Analyst in 27Group’s Kuala Lumpur office. He has been focusing mainly on consulting assignments for corporate clients and public sector policy planning that involves the digital side of operation at national and regional level.

Desmond’s consulting experiences have been mainly on the digital technology and tourism segments, assisted multiple clients in conducting in-depth market research and formulating economic development blueprints for state-level planning.

After receiving his bachelor degree in Global Economics, Desmond worked with a hybrid martial art & corporate training startup, focused in corporate training activities, producing marketing contents for social media and virtual landing page, monitor and engage with potential clients virtually and physically.

During his time in Public Bank. He was involved in the pilot testing of the fraud prevention monitoring system in the credit card division. He has developed a keen-eye in spotting fraud attempts and executing swift judgement based on past data in the daily banking operations.

Following his departure from the hybrid startup, he continues to offer copywriting services for local and foreign clients with the scope in social media, ghost-writing and translating.
