Client
The client is a developer listed on Bursa Malaysia. Its principal business activities are development for transportation and highway project in Asia.
Background
The client is aspired to develop a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system for a Southeast Asia city.
Challenges & Expectations
The client wishes to conduct a financial feasibility study for the project to ascertain its viability.
In view of the huge capital requirement for the development, the client would like to explore various cost recovery measures, including property development along the BRT alignment.
Our Role on the Project
Scope of Services
We were engaged to provide the following services:
- Conduct a real estate market study
- Build a project level financial model
- Advise on the development & investment structure for the project
- Assess the socio-economic benefits
Solutions/Outcomes Delivered
- Develop financial model to capture the estimated costs from Quantity Surveyor and simulate the financial profile of various development mix options and phasing plan
- Conduct cost benefit analysis of proposed scheme options for comparison to support the review and evaluation process by other work streams
- Quantify the project cost and benefits in monetary terms for better evaluation
- Evaluate / compare options for phased implementation of the main development elements
- Conduct financial feasibility assessment on the development mix options
