Shaun Asok Kumar

Mr Shaun Kumar has had 25 years of experience in the construction industry with various roles from a Contractor, Client and a Consultant. He has hand led various developments and in particular infrastructure, hotels, resorts, hospitals and airport developments as an Owner’s Rep/Project Director. His role has covered leadership roles right through from concept stages to handing over.

His past experience include stints with large conglomerates in Malaysia namely MMC and Khazanah. Throughout his career he has developed a skill in dispute resolution and claims management and has recently been empanelled by the Asian International Arbitration Centre as a licensed Adjudicator.

During his tenure as General Manager in Senai International Airport, his was responsible for the commercial and revenue for the aeronautical revenue of the airport. Property development, cargo and passenger revenues. Marketing and negotiating with airlines on a regular basis. Over this time, he has garnered the experience in airline marketing and understanding the airline’s requirements and cost structures for cargo and passenger airlines globally. Shaun has developed revenue maximisation strategies for all airport related services including ground handling. He project managed RM 300 million investment made unto the airport with detailed experience in capacity planning, project management and execution in all areas of airport development including runway, apron, terminal and cargo.
