27 Group shareholders consolidate shares into IRGA preparing for strong growth in built environment, sustainability, ESG and natural capital sectors.
Kuala Lumpur, 15th September, 2023 – 27Group, a boutique business consultancy specialising in project management and socioeconomic development strengths, announced today that it will be conducting a consolidation exercise with IRGA Sdn Bhd, an agritech solutions provider in the agricultural space.
27Group’s digital solutions division, 27Digital, presently owns shares in IRGA under a previously formed agreement. The consolidation move has seen IRGA acquiring 100% ordinary equity of 27Advisory and 27Projects, the business consultancy and project management divisions of 27Group.
Girish Ramachandran, Founder and Executive Director of 27Group, will be taking on the wider additional role of Group CEO of IRGA and will remain the single largest shareholder of the wider group of companies.
The consolidation is intended to provide IRGA with greater competencies in strategic project management and consultancy. IRGA will be leveraging on 27Advisory’s capabilities in research, analytics, and project delivery to provide its clients with the highest possible standard in food security and agribusiness consultancy services. The agritech company will also be utilising the Group’s data gathering capabilities to improve its product development and technological innovations processes.
The collaboration between IRGA Advisory and 27 Advisory will allow the former to provide Plantation Transformation and Food Security Advisory services to clients in the agricultural sector. As part of this service offering, clients will be guided through a four-stage transformation plan which will enable them to improve operational efficiencies and enhance their productivity and sustainability moving forwards. Clients will also receive the benefit of consultations services geared towards improving their capacity to meet global food security needs.
As part of the consolidation move, 27 Group will be undergoing a rebranding exercise in which it will be taking on new logos for its Advisory and Projects divisions. The logos will feature an infusion of orange, representing the “earth” element and are in line with the company’s move to engage further in the natural capital segments.
IRGA aims to offer end-to-end competencies in the agritech sector ranging across the board from its advisory service to its product development and agritech services capacities. It’s partnership with Kingoya Enterprise, an internationally recognised agritools manufacturer, allows the company to produce custom-built agritech solutions which leverage on 4IR compatible technologies that boost agricultural efficiency and productivity.
27Group, through this consolidation exercise, will be further embedding its position in the built environment and natural capital segments, by creating better opportunities to improve its services to clients within these areas. This is in line with the company’s intention to invest in regional growth in the ASEAN region and to galvanize the Malaysian business community towards greater competitiveness at the international level.
Moving ahead, 27Group will be placing more emphasis on ESG and sustainability driven initiatives, with an aim to provide ESG consultancy services to clients across multiple industries within both private and public sector projects. The group will also be gearing itself to provide services to clients within the agribusiness community, facilitating sustainable industry practices and technology adoption to improve food security targets within Malaysia and the region.
The consolidation exercise was officially signed by both parties in January 2023 and was completed in July 2023.
