Client
The client is a property developer listed on Bursa Malaysia, focusing on high value commercial development across Southeast Asia.
Background
As part of the expansion plan, the client is aspired to develop a flagship development and build a signature financial center in one of the Asian city.
Challenges & Expectations
The client would like to build an entire economy center surrounding the financial center, creating a conducive business ecosystem that can attract foreign investors for investment and transaction.
Various planning work will be required to establish an international standard financial center with attractive government policies

Scope of Services
We were engaged to provide the following services:
- Financial industry value chain analysis
- Concept master planning & development strategies
- Business planning & market entry strategy
- Socio-economic assessment on project level benefits
Solutions/Outcomes Delivered
The team begins with a macro economic level analysis on the financial industry of the targeted country. This provided a good indication as to the type of finance services that could be offered in the development.
We then conducted an international benchmarking exercise to study the success factors of similar financial center around the world. This helped us to frame the value propositions of the development and formed a basis for negotiation with relevant government authorities in order to obtain the necessary approvals.
Working with other consultants such as quantity surveyor & engineer, we have quantified the project investment cost and estimated the project financials including profitability, return and recovery period.
