Client
The client is an experienced investment firm that manages close to USD 1 billion of funds across Southeast Asia.
Background
The client wishes to establish a new investment fund that invests in a targeted industry of high value and high growth.
Challenges & Expectations
The client had developed some core ideas of the fund, but lacking the industry studies to substantiate the investment opportunity.
More in-depth industry research and analysis are required to validate the investment opportunities, which can be used to frame the business model and structure of the fund.

Solutions/Outcomes Delivered
We started off with a design thinking workshop with the client to frame the project vision and potential industries that can be focused on.
With the initial industries identified, we carried out further analysis to evaluate the potential market size and growth trend to ascertain a basket of sizable investment targets.
This followed by a carefully designed business model with unique value propositions and other critical business components such as diversification guidelines, investment strategies, investment process & monitoring mechanism, investment decision making procedures and exit alternatives.
