Client​

The Client is an integrated water supply company, involved in the process of water treatment and distribution of treated water to consumers right up to billing and collection. They hold the water concession license from Johor state government to act as the exclusive water services operator.​

​

Background​

The rapid development coupled with climate change phenomenon has caused severe pressure on water resources in the state of Johor. Recent incidents of water supply shortages are clear evidence of this situation. ​

​

As water resource becomes more scarce, wastewater reclamation can be a part of holistic and sustainable water management policy that may reduce dependence on conventional source of water. ​

​

Challenges & Expectations​

The study is expected to expand the business base of the Client into sewerage service and supply of industrial water. Additionally, if successfully implemented, this study can serve as blueprint for similar endeavors in the country. Hence, the state government has placed high expectation on the project.​

• Strategic master plan for sewerage improvement and water reclamation​
• Concept value engineering on preliminary design and technology used​
• Financial modelling to evaluate the project feasibility, including CAPEX & OPEX estimates and lifecycle costing analysis​
