Desmond Teo is an Analyst in 27Group’s Kuala Lumpur office. His focus is mainly on consulting assignments for corporate clients and public sector policy planning that involves the digital side of operation at national and regional level.
Prior to joining 27Group, Desmond’s consulting experiences have been mainly on the digital technology and tourism segments, assisting multiple clients in conducting in-depth market research and formulating economic development blueprints for state-level planning.
Do you feel productive working from home?
Not at 100% output as in-person human guidance is necessary to work effectively, especially when one is new in the organisation.
Where do you plan to go for your 1st overseas holiday destination once the borders are opened?
Taiwan. I plan to go back to meet my friends and explore the rest of the island, especially the Kavalan and Nantou Distilleries.
What is the 1 thing you cannot live without?
Family. No matter how tough life hits you, they'll be the ones to unconditionally back you up. "Blood is thicker than water"

Satay - the best Malaysian Food!

None at the moment.
What are your daily rituals that keeps you zen?
Goodnight sleep and a hearty meal.
What is the 1 most fun childhood memory you have?
To cycle in my neighbourhood. Once, I was randomly chased by a stray dog when I was cycling, that was a pretty memorable event.
What was the worst advice given to you whilst growing up?
Go Big or Go Home. Though I've never really gone 'all-in' without a contingency plan.
What is the one thing about yourself people don’t know about?
I'm a self-taught home-bartender with Youtube as my master.
