Did you know that Malaysia’s Big Mac is amongst one of the cheapest around the major economies in the world?

The Economist has developed the Big Mac Index in 1986 to compare Purchasing Power between currencies in well, a delicious way. Purchasing Power illustrates the amount of item you can get with one unit of currency. In this case you can compare the price of a Big Mac which is available in more than 50 countries. 

According to the latest statistics compiled by the Economist, the most expensive Big Mac is in Switzerland and Norway. Big Mac in Malaysia is ranked as 52nd among the 56 countries evaluated.

This month we are happy to feature one of 27Group’s Senior Advisors, Mr. John Cock. An architect, designer and project manager, with experience in Hong Kong, Australia and South-east Asia, John has specialized in design development, project documentation, specification, project coordination and statutory compliance issues, primarily for commercial, retail, hospitality and institutional building projects. He offers specialist skills in contract and practice administration and forensic architectural consulting. He has also performed similar consultancy work in the form of contract “health checks” for both contractors and employers to identify and review risks posed by their construction contracts.

His experience also includes interior and industrial design, commercial and business management. He advises on construction contract preparation, formation and administration, and has undertaken technical due diligence for parties contemplating acquisition of construction companies or funding of projects.
