How Blockchain Can Make Our Lives Better

The Blockchain is an online distributed ledger which allows parties to conduct secure (encrypted) transactions on a decentralised platform where time-stamping ensures that every data is easily traceable. It functions on peer-to-peer networking where there is minimal interference of the third party.

Blockchain is not a concept, but a technical application to log data in a way that it cannot be changed or erased de-centrally. Blockchain will bring massive improvements in quality of service, efficiency and organisation for transport companies for current and future operations.

In The News: 27Advisory, Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint

The Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint needs more private sector engagement and targets to achieve its goals over the next five to 10 years. There also needs to be a clear indicator of the roles of the private and public sectors, says Girish Ramachandran, executive director at business consulting agency, 27Advisory. He believes that 90% of the blueprint should be driven by the private sector and the other 10% by the government. “When dealing with technology, I would be very worried if I were dealing with the government as it could change after four years. Thus, I may not want to invest in the R&D,” he says.

The client aims to promote and stimulate the economic and social development as well as the private sector investment in a regional corridor agency in Malaysia.

27Group Events in April 2021

An eventful April for 27Group as 27Group’s Executive Director, Girish Ramachandran were invited to be a speaker at the Malaysia Productivity Corporation internal webinar earlier in the month.

During the webinar Girish spoke on an Overview of the Adaptive Reuse of Buildings Towards Economic Rejuvenation and Recovery. He presented several case studies which gained the interest of the participants during the question-and-answer section.

He has worked with a number of partners to launch businesses focusing on defence and technology in Europe and ASEAN, in addition to being Senior Advisor to a number of companies including Novem CS, 27Advisory and Virtusa Corporation.
