Yu Ting Tan

Yu Ting is a management consultant in 27Group’s Kuala Lumpur office. She has been focusing mainly on consulting assignments for corporate clients and public sector policy planning, particularly on the economic sectors development at national and regional level.

Yu Ting’s consulting experiences have been mainly on the digital technology, agriculture, rubber & gloves, as well as real estate segments. She had helped multiple clients to conduct in-depth market research and formulate business strategies on financial planning, organisational structure design and architecture of digital solutions. For the public sector clients, Yu Ting has experience in formulating economic development blueprint and policy at national and regional level for multiple states in Malaysia.

Upon obtaining her bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Yu Ting worked as a Project Engineer, focused on the design & development of chemical and bio-refinery plants. She oversees the entire project implementation lifecycle, covering engineering design, schematic drawing, procurement, construction and commissioning of the plants.

Having been trained in Engineering field, Yu Ting has been able to combine her evidence-based analytical skills with business context and create business recommendations that are data-driven and result-oriented.

During the initial stage of her career, Yu Ting was part of the Monash Industry Team Initiative (MITI) program where she participated in an agricultural research program for the Australia Department of Economic Development, Jobs Transport and Resources (DEDJTR). The research project focused on the operation of dairy farms, in particular the manure management, stockpile, hydrometers and electrical components, in relation to the nutrient level in different manure classification.

Yu Ting is particularly capable in market research and value chain analysis for business diagnosis and interpretation to generate insights that can facilitate better investment decision making in a competitive business environment.
