Sambath Kumar

Sambath is an entrepreneur, business matchmaker & consultant who is fascinated with new and disruptive technologies and solutions in Telecommunication, AI, Fintech, Defence. An electrical & electronic engineer by profession, Sambath has hold various senior management positions in telecommunication-related companies throughout his professional career in last two decades. 

He is currently the Head of Consulting for Nodrad – a Malaysia-based company that produces high quality radars, sensors & monitoring technologies for various industries to increase efficiency and cost management. Prior to that, he was the Head of Project for Sgomiv Technology, where he responsible to develop strategies on new technologies and ventures in telecommunications, fintech and emerging solutions.

Sambath has experience working in Maxis as the Project Manager to oversee tha Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) nationwide roll-out in Next Generation Broad Band (NGBB) utilizing GPON technology valued at USD35million. He managed and coordinated end-to-end project management (AOP setting, Project scheduling, Implementation, Handover) for the implementation and provision of Wholesale Fibre Backhaul services for U Mobile Sdn Bhd. He also managed cost performance target for projects are monitored and maintained within budget, as well as the vendor and contract performance.

He was also the Regional Sales Director of Tata Communications where he managed the consultancy services delivery for wholesale data services to carriers, telecom companies, ISPs and other related industry in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. Besides, he served in Fiberail as the Planning & Development Operations Manager to oversee the fiber optic network operations and maintenance teams where he managed and coordinated the implementation of Fiberail fiber optic network (Electronics/Fibre Optic cable/Towers/Cabin).
