Dinesh Nambiar

Dinesh is a member of the Project Management Institute (USA) and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He has also been awarded a Fellowship by the Construction Industry & Development Board (CIDB ).

He has extensive experience in the building industry; he was the Founding Managing Director of Malaysia’s first professional project management consultancy in 1984 with the formation of WTW Consultan, a company which was involved in managing some the major projects in Malaysia. In 1995 WTW Consultan merged with Bovis Malaysia to form WTW Bovis and has since 1998 been part of Lend Lease. Lend Lease is an Australian multinational property company founded in 1958, is represented in over 10 countries, employs more than 14,000 people and is one of the world’s most sustainable property developers, constructors and owners.

The business has been the leading project management company in Malaysia since the 80s’ with wide experience in high rise commercial offices, retail, leisure, industrial, transportation and manufacturing projects. Some of the projects undertaken by the business include the KLCC development with the Petronas Twin Towers, the Malaysian Airlines Hub at KL International Airport and the KL Sentral Station.

Dinesh is presently Chairman of the Lend Lease business in Malaysia. Until recently he was its Managing Director and Head of Country which includes Investment Management, Development Management, Project Management & Construction and Property Management.

Dinesh’s roles prior to joining Lend Lease include:

• Setting up and operating of the first professional Project Management consultancy in Malaysia at CH Williams, Talhar & Wong, a firm of Property Consultants
• Quantity Surveyor with the Public Works department, Malaysia

He has also been involved in the regional business with roles in India, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
